Corona Treatment Dyne Test Pen
Category: Printing Supplies
Corona Treatment Dyne Test Pen is designed for the rapid verification of surface treatment prior to printing, coating, bonding, or lamination.
The pen is used to verify whether the surface energy is suitable for printable or adhesive-ready surfaces. If the surface energy is lower, adhesion may be poor; if it is higher, good adhesion can generally be assumed.
If the test line remains intact for 2 seconds, the surface energy is at least equal to the dyne value of the test pen used.
Dyne Test Pens are used for the fast recognition of treated surfaces. They are not suitable for systematic measurement of the full surface tension range.
Testing should be carried out only on clean, prepared surfaces. Dirty pens, dust, fingerprints, and migration of slip additives may negatively affect adhesion and lead to inaccurate results.
The substances used in the test ink are classified as non-toxic.
